Guinea Fowl is our fully self-contained dam cottage with all the essential facilities and extra touches to ensure your stay is welcoming and comfortable.
Guinea Fowl is situated on the banks of the dam. With it’s own rowing boat just metres from the front door, it provides easy access to head out and catch the early morning rise in the mist, or enjoy the sunsets over the dam from the front verandah. In winter, share a meal with family and friends around the large family dining table with a roaring open fire in the background.
The 5 cottages around the dam each sleep between 14 - 16 guests (4 or 5 bedrooms and a loft).
Each cottage comprises:
- 2 double bedrooms downstairs (except for Heron which has 3 bedrooms)
- 2 double bedrooms upstairs
- Loft with 6 single beds
- 2 bathrooms with toiletries such as shampoo and soap are supplied
- A fully equipped kitchen with tea, coffee and sugar provided
- A verandah overlooking the dam with garden furniture and a fully equipped built in braai for those misty/rainy nights
In addition we provide our guests with:
- A maid service between 9 am and 11 am
- A row boat for each cottage on the banks of the dam
- Open fire place, wood available for purchase
- Electric blankets on all beds and wall heaters
- Linen and towels
- Cots and high chairs on request
- DSTV Hotel Bouquet package
Please may we remind you:
- No other SIM cards, decoders, DVD players and Playstations are allowed
- No smoking is permitted in any of the cottages
- Please bring your own swimming towels
- No day visitors please, unless prior permission is obtained from Bellwood Management and a levy of R50 per person may be charged depending on the numbers invited
- No pets are allowed
- A nanny service is available upon request
- Check-in time 2:00pm and Check-out time 10:00am
