Juli & Ross

Ross and I met about 14 years ago when we both played polocrosse at school. We lost touch when he stopped playing polocrosse around 2000 and changed to playing polo instead. The next time we saw each other was 9 years ago when Ross came down to my boss’s wedding when I was working at Stonefield Polo Estate in Plett in April of 2009. I could smell a set up! We spent the next 3 days together and the rest they say is history…

We wanted a summer wedding, but with so many of our friends already having dates for their wedding already booked, it narrowed it down to March which suited us perfectly. Choosing Bellwood as our wedding was easy! It was the first venue we looked at the day we took to look at all the different local venue options. Everything else after that, for us, couldn’t beat what Bellwood offers.

The other BIG draw card for us was the fantastic accommodation that the venue offers. We were able to offer more than half our guest accommodation right there in walking distance of the reception hall. The cottages are all so beautifully and tastefully furnished which is something you don’t often see with ‘bulk’ accommodation these days. The reception hall was ideal for what we wanted. We always knew that we would have 150+ guests and the hall was perfect for our final count of 170 guests.

One person I have to single out in the Bellwood team would have to be Rene, the functions manager. She was fantastic from day one, right up to the few days it took us to tidy and clear everything up! There was nothing that Rene wouldn’t or couldn’t do for us and I thoroughly enjoyed working with this super-efficient and competent lady!

I could not be happier with Bellwood as our choice of venue!
